What are the shipping methods on CuteMesh.com?

When creating their product listings, Vendors can configure any of the following shipping methods: ↓ Local Pickup, ↓ Flat Rate Shipping and ↓ Free Shipping. How Vendors use these methods is totally up to them – they can offer one simple delivery method, or combine methods to give you several options. For example, they could offer free standard shipping with a delivery time of 2 – 3 weeks, as well as expedited shipping for a flat fee with a delivery time of 1 – 2 days.

Local Pickup

This method allows the customer to collect their order themselves. It works best for stores with a brick-and-mortar location or designated pick up point. The Vendor will most likely email you with details for collection, such as the address, opening hours and the date the order will be ready. Vendors can also rename this method to “Local delivery” if they make deliveries in their local area.

Flat Rate Shipping

This method allows Vendors to set a standard shipping rate. This method is extremely versatile and very popular, as it can be configured in various different ways and it allows for advanced costs (such as a flat rate per item or a percentage based cost). For example: If a Vendor sets the cost to: 10 + ( 2 * [qty] ) it means there is a base shipping cost of ₵10 plus ₵2 for each item in the cart. Flat rate shipping can also be used to apply surcharges or discounts, which explains why shipping costs are so variable and totally dependent on what you’ve in your shopping cart.

Free Shipping

As you may have guessed, this method allows you to have your order delivered for free! Most Vendors use this method to attract customers (because we all love free shipping!) but it also the simplest method to use. When using the free shipping method, Vendors have the option to set a minimum order amount, before qualifying for free shipping.
