Reporting customers.

Our top priority is to ensure that is a safe marketplace. We are always ready to help if you can’t resolve a problem with a customer directly, or if you think a customer has violated one of our policies. We’re confident that, most of the time, you should be able to handle any problem with a customer on your own. However, you can ask to step in. Here are a few examples of when to report a customer:

  • They’re contacting you excessively or behaving inappropriately.
  • They’re demanding something that wasn’t offered in the original product listing.
  • They’re abusing the auction bidding process (repeatedly bidding and then retracting bids, for example).
  • You believe they are misusing the platform (by taking advantage of the returns system, for example).
  • You believe they are making a false claim or committing fraud.


You don’t need to report customers for order related issues, unless you both can’t agree on a resolution. Instead, it is better to deal with the specific issue. These articles might help: cancelling a transaction, how to handle a return request, tips for responding to reviews and return shipping.
