What can’t I sell on CuteMesh.com?

 

While you can sell almost any item, some items are prohibited in order to protect our community and to comply with legal restrictions. We have prohibited items in the following categories:

 

Adult items

• Sexually oriented materials (such as films, games or books) that contain nudity and displays of sexual activity
• Any adult item that contains nudity and displays of sexual activity in the product listing
• Used or unpackaged sex toys and sex accessories

Alcohol

• Beverages that contain alcohol

Animals and wildlife

• Endangered and threatened species
• Exotic animals

Art

• Art that contains sexually suggestive poses or sexual acts
• Any reproduction (such as posters or exact replica paintings) that violates laws, copyrights, or trademarks
• Exact replica paintings that are not clearly described as replicas in the product listing
• Other artists’ work that you are not authorised to sell

Artifacts

• Items obtained from government or protected land, historical grave sites, or shipwrecks
• Looted or stolen goods
• Artifacts, fossils, and relics that don’t follow government regulations
• Exact replica items that are not clearly described as replicas in the product listing
• Speleothems, stalactites, and stalagmites obtained from caves on government land
• Human remains

Autographed items

• Autographs without Certificates of Authenticity (COA) or letters of authenticity (LOAs)

Catalytic converter and test pipes

• Items that are designed to defeat, bypass or shut down catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, and malfunction indicator lights
• Catalytic converters that do not meet government environmental regulations

Chance listings

• Offers or opportunities to win an item by chance or contest, including mystery items, giveaways, lotteries, sweepstakes, random drawings, raffles, and contests

Clothing

• Used underwear, swimsuits, and socks
• Dirty, stained clothing

Coupons

• Expired coupons or coupons that will expire before reaching the buyer
• Coupons for “free” products
• Electronic “scanned” coupons
• Coupons for recalled items
• Coupon inserts containing other coupons

Cosmetics

• Used cosmetics, sponges, or applicators
• Cosmetics, colognes, perfumes, and lotions not in their original container or packaging
• Homemade cosmetics that do not comply with government regulations

Credit and debit cards

• Active credit, debit, or store credit cards, including prepaid credit cards
• Non-embossed bank or store credit cards
• Current and active money orders
• Expired bank and store cards

Digitally delivered goods

• Software keys that you are not authorised to sell
• Any item that infringes on intellectual property or violates copyright laws

Drugs and drug paraphernalia

• Illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, and drug-like substances
• Items that claim to provide a “legal high”

Electrical and electronic equipment

• Surveillance items that are intended to photograph, or record the conversations or activities of others without their knowledge
• Items prohibited by government agencies, including cell phone, GPS radar, and other signal jamming devices
• Traffic light control devices
• CB amplifiers and radio equipment that operates in both CB and HAM frequencies
• Odometer modification devices
• Unauthorised equipment such as low power transmitting devices, high frequency transceivers, cordless telephones and radar detectors

Encouraging illegal activity

• Items or information that might enable or encourage illegal activity
• Kill switch-activated electronic devices, including smartphones and tablets

Event tickets

• Tickets that you are not authorised to sell
• Any ticket listing that does not follow government laws relating to ticket resales

Firearms and accessories

• Firearms of any type
• Parts and accessories for assault weapons, including blueprints and instructions
• Any part or accessory in violation of local law
• Firearm receivers, even if incomplete
• Ammunition for firearms, including bullets, cartridges, casings, shells, and hulls

• Electronically delivered gift cards from non-approved third party retailers
• Prepaid credit cards (or money cards) from American Express, Discover, Mastercard, or Visa
• Store or merchandise credit in the form of a receipt

Government, transit, and shipping-related items

• Government, mass transit, and shipping-related items, such as uniforms and internal documents

Government documents, IDs and licences

• Government, private transit, or shipping company uniforms and accessories, such as hats, pins and scarves
• Government, transit or shipping company property such as vehicles, license plates, keys for vehicles, mail bags, company decals and transit documents
• Fake documents, government-issued documents or official certificates or diplomas
• Postage meters or voting machines
• Government-issued IDs, passports, birth certificates or license plates
• Government-issued medals and certificates for medals
• Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) plates or rivets

Hazardous, restricted, or regulated materials

• Human body parts or items containing body parts, except human hair intended for wigs
• Used funeral items, such as urns

• Lockpicking or locksmithing devices, including bump keys, slim jims, devices to make or duplicate keys, devices designed to pick a lock, and code-grabbing devices

Mailing lists and personal information

• Personal contact information, such as phone numbers, email lists, and addresses
• Social security numbers, identification numbers or similar sensitive information
• Accounts that require users to send passwords
• Social media items, such as “accounts”, “likes”, “followers”, or “subscribers”
• Software or tools used to send unsolicited contacts, such as text messages or email (spam), or to harvest contact details

Police-related items

• Law enforcement and other government-issued uniforms, badges, or accessories, such as hats, jackets, and shirts, or replicas of these items
• Official emergency lighting systems or sirens, including lenses or LEDs for these systems

Prescription and over-the-counter drugs

• Prescription drugs or drugs containing prescription strength medication
• Supplements or drugs that are banned or restricted by government agencies
• Over-the-counter medication containing non-prescription strength drugs that have expired or will expire before reaching the buyer
• Any drugs or regulated substances that you are not authorised to sell

Product safety

• Products recalled by a manufacturer or government agency
• Products where the sale of the product is prohibited by law or regulation
• Products that pose a health or safety hazard as specified by any government agency

Real estate

• Any property that you are not authorised to sell
• Any property listed on behalf of a third-party
• Any property listing that does not follow local rules and regulations

• Any slot machine listing that does not follow local rules and regulations
• Slot machines that accept currency, are operational and not meant for display purposes

Stamps, currency and coins

• Coins and currency that does not contain photos of the front and back of the actual item for sale in the product listing
• Any stamp, currency or coin listing that does not follow local rules and regulations

Stocks and other securities

• Stocks, securities, investments or credit
• Collectible stock certificates that haven’t been canceled or represent an interest in an entity that still exists

Stolen property

• Stolen property from private individuals, or property taken without authorisation from companies or government

Travel

• Choices of lodging locations, airlines, cruise line or cruise points of departure or destination
• Third party travel certificates
• Travel club memberships
• Resale of travel-related incentives such as awards, coupons, upgrades, etc that are subject to cancellation by the travel provider if resold

Before listing your product on CuteMesh.com, make sure it is not mentioned in this list. You also need to make sure that the sale of your product complies with all laws and any other applicable restrictions. Listings that contain illegal explicit content, including child pornography, torture, snuff films or bestiality are strictly prohibited – this includes listings that contain material or items depicting such acts, whether real or fictionalised. If your product listing doesn’t comply with these guidelines, it may be removed, and you may be subject to a range of other actions at our own discretion, including restrictions of your buying/selling privileges, suspension of your account or referral to local authorities.
