Orders.

The ↗ Orders tab of your Vendor dashboard is where you can view and manage all of your CuteMesh.com orders. The order table displays all of the basic order information, such as order ID, order total amount, earned amount, order status, customer details, order date and order actions (such as complete order or view order). You can quickly view orders according to their order status, and you can filter the orders in the orders table according to date or customer. Just select the appropriate option from the drop-down menu and click Filter. You can also export the order list, if desired.

Managing orders

Once you receive an order, you need to process it. Clicking the order number or the view icon (👁) will allow you to edit the order by taking you to a new page with all of the order details.

Order status

Each order is given a status. Order statuses let you (and the customer) know how far the order has progressed, starting with “Pending payment” and ending with “Completed.” Here are some of the order statuses that you can use:

  • Pending payment: Order received, no payment initiated. Awaiting payment (unpaid).
  • Failed: Payment failed or was declined (unpaid) or requires authentication (SCA). Note that this status may not show immediately and instead show as Pending until verified (e.g., PayPal).
  • Processing: Payment received (paid) and stock has been reduced. The order is awaiting fulfillment by the Vendor. All product orders require processing, except those that only contain products which are both Virtual and Downloadable.
  • Completed: Order fulfilled and complete. It requires no further action.
  • On hold: Awaiting payment. Stock is reduced, but you need to confirm payment.
  • Cancelled: Cancelled by a Vendor or the customer. Stock is increased and no further action is required.
  • Refunded: Refunded by a Vendor and no further action required.

How to edit an order status:

  1. Log into your ↗ Vendor dashboard.
  2. Click the Orders tab on the left menu.
  3. Click on one of your orders in the order table to edit it.
  4. Click Edit right next to the order status in the top right corner.
  5. Select the new order status from the drop-down menu that appears.
  6. Click Update.

Order Note

You can add customer or private notes to orders. For customer notes, the customer will receive an email notification for every note you add. This can be a useful way of staying in contact with the customer throughout the order process, however it is not often needed. For private notes, only the Vendor will receive an email notification for every note you add. This is useful if you need to make a record of something during the order process. How to add an order note:

  1. Log into your ↗ Vendor dashboard.
  2. Click the Orders tab on the left menu.
  3. Click on one of your orders in the order table to edit it.
  4. Scroll down to the “Order Notes” section.
  5. Write your note in the textbox provided.
  6. Select the type of note (customer note or private note) from the drop-down menu.
  7. Click Add Note.

Tip: Other automated notes will also be displayed in the “Order Notes” section when editing an order. For example, when the order status automatically changes from pending to on-hold.

Shipment tracking

You can add tracking details to your order so that customers can track their shipment. Once you have added shipment tracking to an order, the order details will be updated and a new order note will be added containing the tracking details. How to add shipment tracking to an order:

  1. Log into your ↗ Vendor dashboard.
  2. Click the Orders tab on the left menu.
  3. Click on one of your orders in the order table to edit it.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the order and click the Tracking Number button.
  5. A new window will pop up with three options. Enter the shipping provider name or URL, Tracking Number and Date Shipped into the textboxes provided.
  6. Click the Add Tracking Details button.
